Maia Rodriguez
Maia Rodriguez was born in Cleveland, Ohio. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts at Syracuse University, and spent most of her 20's and early 30's in live stage performances all over the world, including Tokyo Disney Sea, Cirque du Soleil, Universal Studios, and Renaissance Festivals all over the country. She has toured and Irish step danced with the Canadian celtic rock band, the Tartan Terrors, and she was the composer and narrator for the "Hack and Slash Christmas Special", an annual comedy fundraiser at the Chesapeake Arts Center in Baltimore, MD. She currently sings with the United States Navy Band Sea Chanter Chorus in Washington D.C. In her free time, she teaches voice, piano, and yoga-just not all at once! She wrote Evernight in 2007 when she became pregnant with her daughter. The musical evolved over the years from the people she met in her life, and she has loved how it has taken a life of its own.
Maia lives in southern Maryland with her husband, two children, and three adorable rescue cats. She is a huge Dungeons and Dragons fan, has has been DMing since the mid-2000's.
Andy Skaggs
Andy Skaggs was born in 1972 and grew up in Ashland, Kentucky. Always fascinated by music, Andy spent his early years devouring his parents' collection of records, mostly Broadway and classical. By the time he was a teenager, he was excelling as a singer and trombonist, and had gained some notice for his compositions. His choral setting of Robert Frost's "The Road Not Taken" was performed at his high school graduation from Paul G. Blazer High School in 1990. At DePaw University, Skaggs, studied composition with David Ott, as well as piano, voice, and trombone, the latter with James Beckel.
After a chance opportunity to perform with the Indianapolis Sympohony Orchestra at the age of 18, Andy became intensely focused on a career as a trombonist.
Over the past three decades, Andy has performed with every time of ensemble imaginable, from symphony orchestras to funk and salsa groups. He has held positions with the Charlotte Symphony, South Carolina Philharmonic Orchestra, and the United States Navy Band in Washington D.C.
